2022 Smart Manufacturing and Digital Economy Forum was held in Hefei on Sept. 22. Christian Wulff, former President of Germany and Chairman of the Global Alliance of SMEs, addressed the forum.

Chairwoman of Anhui Sino-German Education Cooperation Foundation, Chen Xiu, HFU’s Vice President, was invited to deliver a keynote speech. Focusing on the theme of “education empowering the high-quality development of manufacturing industry”, she introduced the development of Hefei University, as well as the exploration and achievements of its “dual system”.

As a parallel forum of the 2022 World Manufacturing Convention, this forum took “digital empowering the high-quality development of manufacturing industry” as the theme to carry out in-depth discussions on smart manufacturing and the development of digital economy, which attracted more than 100 guests of the digital field from the industry, universities and research fields, as well as hundreds of thousands of viewers online. Besides, the Global Alliance of SMEs held a series of signing ceremonies of strategic cooperation with related enterprises, which will further expand the influence of the World Manufacturing Convention and help Anhui build a global investment platform for its advanced manufacturing industry.
